32.45

晉時豫章郡吏易拔。義熙中受番還家違遁不反。郡遣追見拔言語如常。亦為施設。使者催令裝束。拔因語曰。汝看我面。仍見。眼目角張身有黃斑色。便豎一足徑出門去。家先依山為居。至鹿變成三足大虎。所豎之脚即成其尾（右此一驗出異苑）。

During the Jin dynasty, Yi Ba was a minor official of Yuzhang commandery. During the Yixi reign era, he completed his term of duty and returned home, but absconded and would not return. The commandery sent [messengers] to pursue him. When they saw Ba, his speech was as usual, and he also prepared food for them. The messengers urged him to pack his belongings. Ba then said to them, "Look at my face." Thereupon they saw that the corners of his eyes were distended and his body had yellow stripes. He then raised one foot and walked straight out the door. His home had formerly leaned against the mountain for shelter. When he reached the deer, he transformed into a three-legged large tiger, and the leg he had raised became its tail.
