第二十一願使某作佛時。令我國中諸菩薩阿羅漢壽命無央數劫。得是願乃作佛。不得是願終不作佛。
"Twenty-first vow: May it be that when I become a Buddha, the lifespan of the bodhisattvas and arhats in my land shall be countless kalpas. If I obtain this vow, only then will I become a Buddha; if I do not obtain this vow, I will never become a Buddha.
