36.60

文帝深加悅懌。又於屍所見一物。狀若龍蛇。長一丈許。直上昇天。僧眾悲戀。乃依外國法。香薪闍維起塔（右一驗出梁高僧傳）。

Emperor Wen was deeply pleased. Moreover, at the site of his corpse, an object was seen resembling a dragon or snake, about one zhang in length, rising straight into the heavens. The monastic assembly wept in loving remembrance. In accordance with the foreign custom, they cremated him with fragrant firewood and erected a stūpa.
