Eighty thousand stūpas of his relic-body,
Adorned with jewels, rising a hundred fathoms high.
The phoenix figures differ from spiritual crows;
The golden discs replace the immortal's dew-basins.
Stacked brackets support carved corners;
High eaves hang draped with tree-nets.
The jewelled ground is like pond sand;
The wind-bells chime like clustered resonances.
Carving and chiselling bring forth a thousand wonders;
Pigments and paints depict ten thousand forms.
Mists and rosiness emerge and vanish from time to time;
Spirits and immortals come and go in a flash.
Morning fog rises at the middle storeys;
Flying banners reach up to touch the clouds.
The soaring rainbow dare not pause;
How could the wheeling kun-bird look up to its heights?
Holy transformations display endless auspicious signs;
How could the evoked blessings be merely few?
May I board this raft of salvation;
Who can say that the other shore is distant?
