中使王長信等同覩瑞相。流輝遍滿赫奕瀾漫。若有旋轉久方沒盡。及旦看之獲舍利一枚。殊大於粒。光明鮮潔。更細尋視又獲七粒。總置盤水。一枚獨轉繞餘七粒。各放光明炫燿人目。琮等以所感瑞具狀上聞。

Palace Envoy Wang Changxin and others all saw the auspicious signs: the flowing radiance filled the area, dazzling and splendid, seeming to swirl, and only subsided after a long time. When morning came to look, they obtained one śarīra, unusually larger than a grain [of rice], with bright and pure brilliance. Searching more carefully, they obtained another seven grains. Placing them all in a basin of water, one rotated alone around the other seven grains, each emitting light dazzling to the eye. Cong and the others reported the full circumstances of the resonance they had experienced to the throne.
