如起世經云佛告比丘。月天子宮殿縱廣正等四十九由旬。四面垣牆七寶所成。月天宮殿純以天銀天青瑠璃而相間錯。二分天銀清淨無垢光甚明曜。餘之一分天青瑠璃。亦甚清淨。表裏映徹光明遠照。亦為五風攝持而行（五風如前）月天宮殿依空而行。亦有無量諸天宮殿。引前而行恒受快樂。於此月殿亦有大輦。青瑠璃成。輿高十六由旬。廣八由旬月天子身與諸天女在此輦中。以天種種五欲功德。和合受樂隨意而行。彼月天年月壽五百歲。子孫相承皆於彼治。然其宮殿住於一劫。彼月天子身分光明照彼青輦。其輦光明照月宮殿。月宮殿光照四大洲。彼月天子有五百光向下而照。有五百光傍行而照。是故月天名千光明。亦復名為涼冷光明。

As the Qishi jing states: The Buddha told the monks, "The palace of the Moon Deva prince is precisely forty-nine yojanas in length and breadth. The enclosing walls on its four sides are made of the seven jewels. The Moon Deva's palace is formed purely of divine silver and divine blue vaiḍūrya alternating with one another: two parts are of divine silver, pure and stainless, its light exceedingly brilliant; the remaining one part is of divine blue vaiḍūrya, which is also exceedingly pure, translucent both inside and out, its radiance shining far. It is also sustained and moved along by five winds (the five winds are as before). The Moon Deva's palace travels relying on empty space. There are also immeasurable palaces of devas that lead the way before it, constantly experiencing happiness. In this lunar palace there is also a great carriage made of blue vaiḍūrya, sixteen yojanas high and eight yojanas broad. The Moon Deva prince himself and various devīs abide in this carriage, harmoniously enjoying pleasure through the merits of various divine five desires, traveling as they wish. The Moon Deva's lifespan is five hundred lunar years; sons and grandsons succeed one another, all ruling there. Yet the palace endures for one kalpa. The radiance of the Moon Deva prince's body illuminates that blue carriage; the radiance of the carriage illuminates the lunar palace; and the radiance of the lunar palace illuminates the four great continents. That Moon Deva prince has five hundred rays shining downward and five hundred rays shining laterally. Therefore the Moon Deva is called Thousand Radiations, and also called Cool Radiance."
