洛書甄曜度曰。周天三百六十五度四分度之一。又度為千九百三十二里。則天地相去十七萬八千五百里。論衡曰。日一日行一度。一度二千里。日晝行千里。舒疾與騏驎之步相類也。
The Luoshu zhenyaodu says: 'The heaven's circuit is 365 and one-quarter degrees. Moreover, each degree is 1,932 li; thus heaven and earth are 178,500 li apart.' The Lunheng says: 'The sun travels one degree each day, and one degree is 2,000 li. During the day the sun travels 1,000 li; its slowness and swiftness are comparable to the pace of a qilin.'
