復次置觜為第三宿屬於月天。即是月子。姓毘梨伽耶尼。星數有三形如鹿頭。一日一夜行十五時。屬觜宿者祭根及菓。

Next, Mṛgaśiras was established as the third mansion. It belongs to the Moon Deva (Soma); it is the child of the Moon. Its clan is Mṛgayānī. The number of its stars is three, shaped like a deer's head. In one day and one night, it moves for fifteen hours. For those belonging to the Mṛgaśiras mansion, roots and fruits are sacrificed.
