定州北嶽寺立塔之日。有異老公。來施布負土畢已失之。舊此無水。忽有水流。前後非一。
On the day the pagoda was erected at Beiyue Temple in Ding Prefecture, an extraordinary old man came to donate cloth and carry earth, and as soon as he finished, he vanished. Formerly there was no water here, but suddenly water flowed forth, repeatedly.
