隨州人於溳水作魚獄三百。古來傳業。既見舍利。悉決放之。永斷茲惡。餘州亦効矣。

The people of Sui Prefecture had constructed three hundred fish-traps along the Yun River, an occupation handed down from antiquity. Seeing the śarīra, they dismantled them all and released the fish, severing this evil deed forever. Other prefectures followed their example.
