46.32

是故經云。勿輕未學。敬學如佛。唯有智慧可破煩惱。若稱量者則為自傷。唯佛智慧乃能明了。如此事者非我所知。即於破戒人中不生瞋恚輕慢之心。

Therefore a sūtra says: "Do not despise those who have not yet studied; revere those who study as you would the Buddha. Only wisdom can destroy afflictions. If one measures others, one harms oneself. Only the Buddha's wisdom can clearly comprehend. Such matters are beyond my knowing." Thus towards persons who break the precepts, one does not give rise to anger or contempt.
