晉興寧元年陳郡袁宏為南海太守。與弟頴叔及沙門支法防。共登羅浮山。至石室口見開形骸。及香火瓦器猶存。宏曰。法師業行殊群。正當蟬蛻耳。迺為贊曰。

In the first year of the Xingning era of the Jin, Yuan Hong of Chen commandery served as Governor of Nanhai. Together with his younger brother Yingshu and the śramaṇa Zhi Fafang, he climbed Mount Luofu. Arriving at the mouth of the stone chamber, they saw Daokai's physical remains, along with his incense burner and earthenware vessels still preserved.
