Leaving sorrow and suffering far behind, / Liberated from everything, / One's fetters and knots already untied, / Dissipated, one is naturally at peace. / With pure mind one attains mindfulness, / With nothing craved or enjoyed; / Having crossed over the dried and desiccated, / Like wild geese abandoning a pool. / Measure one's belly to eat, / Amassing and storing nothing; / With an empty mind free of conceptualization, / Near and far are without obstruction. / Measure one's body to clothe it, / Seeking no excess or superfluity; / Diminish affairs and abide in the unconditioned, / Without anything to tether or bind. / Curb thoughts and follow the right, / Like a horse well-trained and mastered; / Cast aside arrogance and abandon conceit, / Becoming revered by the devas. / Free from anger like the earth, / Unmoving like a mountain, / The true person is without defilement, / Birth and death eternally cut off from the world. / The mind has already found rest, / Words and deeds have also ceased; / Through the right, liberation is attained, / Returning in tranquility to cessation. / Abandoning evil, free from attachment, / Shattering the three realms, / Passions and sensory forms forever severed: / This is called supreme wisdom. / Whether in a village or in the wilds, / Abiding in defilement without being defiled, / Praised by the arhats, / There is none who does not receive their blessing. / Constantly delighting in secluded leisure, / Beyond the reach of ordinary people— / How delightful is the superior person, / Revered by devas and humans!
