姜詩。字士游。廣漢雒人。母好飲江水。兒常取水溺死。婦痛惜。恐母知誑云行學。歲歲作衣投于江中。俄而泉涌出於舍側。味如江水甘美。且出鯉魚一雙（右此一驗出東觀漢記）。

Jiang Shi, whose courtesy name was Shiyou, was a man of Luo in Guanghan. His mother loved drinking river water. His son frequently went to fetch water and drowned. His wife grieved deeply, but fearing that the mother would learn of it, lied that the boy had gone away to study. Year after year, she made clothes and cast them into the river. Soon, a spring welled up beside their cottage, its flavor sweet and fine like river water, and a pair of carp emerged from it. (The above verification is taken from the Dongguan Han ji.)
