49.71

又優婆塞戒經云。是五逆罪。殺父則輕。殺母則重。殺阿羅漢重於殺母。出佛身血重於殺阿羅漢。破僧復重出佛身血。

Furthermore, the Upāsaka-śīla-sūtra says: 'Among the five deadly offenses, killing one's father is the lighter, while killing one's mother is the heavier. Killing an arhat is heavier than killing one's mother. Causing the Buddha's body to bleed is heavier than killing an arhat. Causing a schism in the Saṃgha is heavier still than causing the Buddha's body to bleed.'
