鴻範五行傳曰。秦始皇時有大人。身長五丈足跡六尺夷狄服見於臨洮天。秦曰。勿大行夷狄之道將受其禍云。

The Hongfan wuxing zhuan states: “In the time of Qin Shihuang, a giant five zhang tall with footprints six chi long, clad in the garb of the Yi and Di barbarians, appeared at Lintao. Heaven said to Qin: ‘Do not practice the ways of the Yi and Di on a grand scale, or you will suffer disaster.’”
