51.65

善惡自相違　明闇不同止
聖人愍迷徒　乘機入生死
慕德祛囂煩　懲心見真理
擇交惡自終　出苦方有始

Good and evil naturally oppose each other;
Light and darkness do not dwell together.
The Sage pities the bewildered flock,
Taking the opportune moment to enter saṃsāra.
Admiring virtue dispels clamour and vexation;
Restraining the mind reveals the true reality.
Selecting companions, evil naturally ends;
Escaping suffering only then begins.
