堅笑曰。將非趙文業耶。其調戲機捷皆此類也。後因關中佛法之盛。願欲出家。堅惜而未許。及堅死後方遂其志。更名道整。因作頌曰。

Jian laughed and said, "Could this be anyone other than Zhao Wenye?" His playful, quick-witted jokes were all of this sort. Later, because of the flourishing of the Buddhadharma in the Guanzhong region, he wished to renounce household life. Jian cherished him and would not permit it. Only after Jian's death did he finally fulfill his aspiration, changing his name to Daozheng. He then composed a verse saying:
