鸛雀語言。何為作此語。來共作親善。白鵝答言。我知汝諂讒終不親善。汝欲知。爾時鵝王者即我身是也。爾時鸛雀者今提婆達多是也。
The crane said, 'Why speak like this? Come, let us be friends.' The white goose replied, 'I know you are flattering and slanderous; I will never be friends with you. If you wish to know: the king of geese at that time was myself, and the crane of that time was the present Devadatta.'
