夫萬物有遷。三寶常住。寂然不動。感而通化。非初誕於王宮。不長逝於雙樹。何得論生滅乎。訃感修促乎來乎去也。

The myriad things undergo change, but the Three Jewels are eternally abiding. Serene and unmoving, they respond and pervade transformations. He was not newly born in the royal palace, nor did he permanently pass away between the twin trees. How can one speak of arising and ceasing? The tidings of responsiveness are merely short or long in coming and going.”
