韞石諒非真　飾瓶信為假
竊服睪門上　濫吹緇軒下
鳳祀徒驚心　騶文終好野
真相豈式昭　浮榮未能捨
迹殊冠冕容　事襲驅馳者
已矣歇鄭聲　天然亂周雅
富貴空爭名　寵辱虛相罵
須臾風火燭　幻泡何足把

Concealed within stone is surely not genuine; / An adorned vase is truly false.
Stealing rank above the palace gate, / Playing out of tune beneath the dark canopy.
Sacrifices to the phoenix vainly startle the heart; / The patterns of the Zou beast ultimately love the wilderness.
How can the true form be displayed? / Fleeting glory cannot yet be cast aside.
Traces differ from the look of caps and robes, / As deeds imitate those who rush about.
Let it end! Cease the sounds of Zheng, / Which naturally disrupt the Zhou odes.
Riches and honour fruitlessly vie for fame; / Favor and disgrace emptily revile one another.
In an instant, a candle in the wind and fire— / How are illusory bubbles worth grasping?
