佛為三界尊　吾備在其中
欲除汝飢貧　是故從貧乞
若能減身口　分銖以為施
長夜得解脫　後生得豪富

"The Buddha is the most revered in the three realms, / And I am counted among [his disciples]. / Desiring to remove your hunger and poverty, / I have therefore come to beg from the poor. / If you can take from your own mouth and body, / Giving even a tiny fraction as alms, / Through the long night you will attain liberation, / And in a future birth gain great wealth."
