爾時帝釋見上諸天並皆雲集。乃至虛空夜叉咸皆隨從帝釋前立。於是帝釋自著鎧甲。與諸天眾前後圍繞。從天宮出欲共大戰。諸器仗等雜色可愛。皆七寶所成。以此刀仗遙擲阿脩羅身莫不洞徹。而不為害。於其身上不見瘡痕之跡。唯以觸因緣故受於苦痛。諸阿脩羅器仗亦是七寶所成。穿諸天身亦皆徹過。而無瘢痕。唯觸因緣故受苦痛。

At that time Śakra saw that the devas above had all gathered like clouds, and even the airborne yakṣas all followed and stood before Śakra. Thereupon Śakra put on his armor himself and, surrounded before and behind by the heavenly hosts, went forth from the heavenly palace, intending to join in the great battle. The various weapons and the like were multicolored and delightful, all formed of the seven treasures. When these swords and weapons were hurled from afar into the bodies of the asuras, they penetrated through them completely, yet caused no mortal wound; no trace of a sore or scar could be seen on their bodies, and it was only on account of the contact that they suffered pain. The weapons of the asuras were also formed of the seven treasures; they likewise passed entirely through the bodies of the devas without leaving scars, and it was only on account of the contact that they suffered pain.
