57.65

又大集經云。爾時世尊告諸龍眾阿脩羅言。汝等莫鬪。應當修忍。仁者若能離於瞋怒成就忍辱速得十處。何等為十。一得作王。王四天下自在輪王。二毘樓博叉天王。三毘樓勒叉天王。四提頭賴吒天王。五毘沙門天王。六釋天王。七須夜摩天王。八兜率陀天王。九化樂天王。十他化自在天王。諸仁者。若具足忍。是人速得如是十處忍辱近果。

Furthermore, the Mahāsaṃnipāta-sūtra states: At that time the World-Honoured One addressed the hosts of nāgas and asuras, saying, "You should not fight, but should cultivate patience. Noble ones, if one can be free from anger and accomplish patience, one will quickly obtain ten states. What are the ten? First, to become a king, a cakravartin sovereign over the four continents. Second, Virūpākṣa, the deva king. Third, Virūḍhaka, the deva king. Fourth, Dhṛtarāṣṭra, the deva king. Fifth, Vaiśravaṇa, the deva king. Sixth, King Śakra. Seventh, the Suyāma deva king. Eighth, the Tuṣita deva king. Ninth, the Nimmānaratī deva king. Tenth, the Paranimmittavasavattī deva king. Noble ones, if one is fully endowed with patience, one quickly obtains such near fruits of patience as these ten states."
