若有諍論議　雜意懷功高
非聖毀此德　各各相求便
但求他過失　意欲降伏彼
更互而求勝　聖不如是說

"If there are disputations and debates, / with mixed thoughts harboring high self-esteem,
non-nobles destroy this virtue, / each seeking the advantage over the other.
Only seeking the other's faults, / with minds wanting to subdue the other,
they mutually seek victory; / the noble ones do not speak thus."
