In the eighth month of the third year of the Zhongping era of the Han, atop Huai Tomb there were more than ten thousand sparrows. First they cried most sorrowfully, and then fell into chaotic fighting and killed one another, their heads severed and hanging on tree branches and thorny brambles. By the sixth year, Emperor Ling died. Now, a tomb is an image of the lofty and grand; 'sparrow' (que) puns with 'nobility' (jue). Heaven's warning was as if to say: those who harbor noble emoluments and are honored and wealthy will turn back and harm one another, even unto ruin and death. (The above two verifications come from the Soushen ji.)
