58.19

如發覺淨心經云。時有六十初發心菩薩。共到佛所。五體投地禮佛足已。於地未起悲啼雨淚。向佛合掌而作是言。善哉世尊。我等業障願分別說。令我等輩自清淨心勿復更造。

As the *Sūtra on Inspiring the Pure Mind* says: At that time, there were sixty bodhisattvas who had newly generated the resolve [for awakening]. Together they went to the Buddha's place, cast their five limbs to the ground, and bowed to the Buddha's feet. Not yet rising from the ground, weeping bitterly with tears falling like rain, they joined their palms toward the Buddha and said: "Excellent, World-Honoured One! We pray that you will explain our karmic hindrances in detail, so that we may purify our own minds and never commit them again."
