爾時釋迦牟尼佛告諸比丘。我今亦說陀羅尼章句。為利益眾生故。增長功德故。增長威德故。增長色故。增長名聞故。增長力故。隨意受樂故。隨行受安樂故。不擾亂故。不殺害故。守護故。而說呪曰。

At that time, Śākyamuni Buddha told the bhikṣus: "I now also speak phrases of a dhāraṇī, for the sake of benefiting sentient beings, for the sake of increasing merit, for the sake of increasing majesty and virtue, for the sake of increasing physical appearance, for the sake of increasing renown, for the sake of increasing strength, for the sake of experiencing joy according to one's wish, for the sake of experiencing peace and happiness according to one's conduct, for the sake of non-disturbance, for the sake of not killing and harming, and for the sake of safeguarding them." And he spoke the mantra, saying:
