62.22

自念祠祀來　已歷八十年
奉風水火神　日月諸山川
夙夜不懈廢　心中無他念
至竟無所獲　值佛乃安寧

"Reflecting on my sacrificial offerings,
Already eighty years have passed.
I served the gods of wind, water, and fire,
The sun, the moon, and the mountains and streams.
Early and late, never flagging or remiss,
With no other thought in my mind.
Yet in the end I attained nothing;
Only upon encountering the Buddha did I find peace."
