To the west of Yizhou, in Yunnan, there was a sacrificial spirit. A chamber was carved into the mountain rock, and below it, the people made offerings to it, calling itself Yellow Stone. In that region, they say that this spirit was the spirit of the Yellow Stone received by Zhang Liang. It was pure and did not require the slaughter of animals. All who had prayers and requests would bring one hundred sheets of paper, a pair of brushes, and a cake of ink, place them in the stone chamber, and step forward to make their petition. First, a sound would be heard from within the stone chamber, and after a moment it would ask what the visitor desired. Whatever was asked about, it would fully describe the good or bad fortune, yet its form remained unseen. It has remained like this down to the present.
