我今為護是二子　捨身不惜如枯草
若我護身而妄語　云何得稱如說行

'Now, in order to protect these two young,
I surrender my body without begrudging it, as though it were dry grass.
If, to protect my body, I were to speak falsely,
How could I be called one who acts according to his words?'
