64.62

善男子。師子王者。即我身是。雄獼猴者。即迦葉是。雌獼猴者。善護比丘尼是二獼猴子者。即今阿難羅睺羅是。時鷲王者。即舍利弗是。是故為護依止者不惜身命。

Good sons, the lion king was myself; the male macaque was Kāśyapa; the female macaque was the nun Suguptā; the two young macaques were Ānanda and Rāhula of today; and the vulture king was Śāriputra. Therefore, to protect those who rely on him, [a bodhisattva] does not begrudge body or life.
