'Furthermore, by wisdom born of hearing or by the divine eye, one sees ten kinds of worms: when they reach the liver and lungs, the person becomes sick. What are the ten? The first is called the hair-eating worm; the second is called the aperture-crawling worm; the third is the candumāla worm; the fourth is called the red worm; the fifth is called the juice-eating worm; the sixth is called the hair-lamp worm; the seventh is called the blood-angering worm; the eighth is called the flesh-eating worm; the ninth is called the throbbing worm; the tenth is called the sour worm. The shapes of these worms are minuscule, without feet and without eyes, travelling in the blood, characterized by pain and itching.'
