晉張傾西域校尉。張傾以怨殺麴儉。儉臨死有恨言。後傾夜見白狗。自拔劍斫之不中。傾便倒地不起。左右見儉在傍。遂以暴卒。

Zhang Qing of the Jin was Colonel of the Western Regions. Zhang Qing killed Qu Jian out of resentment; Jian spoke hateful words when facing death. Later, Qing saw a white dog at night; he drew his sword to strike it but missed. Qing then fell to the ground and could not rise. His attendants saw Jian beside him, and he subsequently died suddenly.
