問曰。何故名疑者。答曰。疑心殺生亦得殺罪。以彼是眾生亦得殺罪。以捨慈悲心故得殺罪。
Question: Why is it named 'doubtful'? Answer: Killing a living being with a doubtful mind also incurs the sin of killing. Because that [being] is a sentient being, one also incurs the sin of killing; because of relinquishing the mind of loving-kindness and compassion, one incurs the sin of killing.
