問曰。云何名遠離妄語者。答曰。妄語有七種。一見等事。二顛倒非顛倒事。三疑心。四起覆藏想。五作。六不作相。七無作相。是等名為妄語口業。

Question: What is meant by 'abstaining from false speech'? Answer: False speech has seven factors: first, matters seen and so forth; second, inverted and non-inverted matters; third, doubtful mind; fourth, giving rise to the perception of concealing; fifth, active performance; sixth, characteristic of non-action; seventh, characteristic of unmanifest karma. These are named the verbal karma of false speech.
