69.40

又瑜伽論云。又於胎中經三十八七日。此之胎藏一切支分皆悉具足。從此以後復經四日方乃出生。此說極滿足者。或經九月。或復過此。若唯經八月。此名圓滿。若經七月六月。不名圓滿。或復缺減。故法華經偈云。

Furthermore, the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra states: "Moreover, after thirty-eight periods of seven days have elapsed in the womb, all the limbs and parts of this fetus are fully complete. After this, four more days pass before it is born. This refers to the most complete cases. Some take nine months, while others exceed this. If it takes only eight months, this is termed complete. If it takes seven months or six months, it is not termed complete, or it may have deficiencies." Therefore, a verse of the Lotus Sūtra says:
