Furthermore, the Sūtra on Rebirth in the Five Destinies says: When a child is three years old, it has drunk in total one hundred and eighty hu of milk, excluding the portions of blood consumed in the womb. A person of Pūrvavideha drinks one thousand eight hundred hu of milk; a person of Aparagodānīya drinks ten thousand eight hundred hu of milk; a person of Uttarakuru fully forms a body in seven days, and on the day of birth is placed at the head of a thoroughfare, where passers-by offer their fingers to suck, and for this reason they drink no milk. (These hu and dou are the ancient small dou; three dou correspond to one dou of today. Ancient people's bodies were exceptionally large and unlike the small ones today; fearing people would think it strange that the amounts are so great, it is specially noted here.)
