第四叫喚大地獄。亦有十六小地獄圍繞。各縱廣五百由旬。何故名叫喚地獄。獄卒捉罪人擲大鑊中。又置大鐵鑊中。熱湯涌沸煮彼罪人。號咷叫喚苦辛痛酸。又取彼罪人擲大𨫼上反覆煎熬。久受苦已乃出叫喚。至黑沙地獄乃至寒氷地獄。爾乃命終。由瞋恚懷毒造諸惡行。故墮叫喚地獄。

The fourth, the Screaming Great Hell, also has sixteen small hells surrounding it, each five hundred yojanas in length and breadth. Why is it named the Screaming Hell? The hell wardens seize the sinners and cast them into great cauldrons, or place them into great iron cauldrons, boiling the sinners in surging hot broth, who wail and scream in searing and acute suffering. Furthermore, they take those sinners, cast them onto great griddles, and repeatedly fry and sear them. Having endured suffering for a long time, they then exit Screaming, reaching the Black Sand Hell and on through to the Cold Ice Hell, only after which does life end. Because of committing various evil deeds harboring malice and rage, one falls into the Screaming Hell.
