念人衰老時　百病同時嬰
水消而火起　刀風解其形
骨體筋脈離　大命要當傾
吾用畏是故　求道願不生

I contemplate that when humans decline and age, / A hundred illnesses afflict them at once. / Water recedes and fire blazes up; / Knives and wind dismember their form. / Bones, sinews, and vessels separate; / Great life must inevitably collapse. / Because I feared this, / I sought the path and wished never to be born.
