第一呵色欲過。如頻婆娑羅王。以色故身入敵國。獨在婬女阿梵婆羅房中。憂填王。以色染故截五百仙人手足。如是等種種因緣。是名呵色欲過失。

First is reprimanding the fault of the desire for sights. For example, King Bimbisāra, because of visual form, entered an enemy state alone and stayed in the room of the courtesan Āmrapālī. King Udayana, because of lustful defilement by visual form, severed the hands and feet of five hundred ṛṣis. Various causes and conditions such as these are called reprimanding the faults of the desire for sights.
