72.27

此諸天中有足下頭上。如人以箭仰射虛空。上昇而行往於天趣。餘趣中有皆悉傍行。如鳥飛空行所至處。又如壁上畫作飛仙。舉身傍行求當生處。問中有行相皆如是耶。

The intermediate existences of these devas have their feet below and heads above, like a person shooting an arrow upward into the empty sky, ascending as they travel toward the heavenly destiny. The intermediate existences of the other destinies all travel horizontally, like birds flying through the air to reach their destination; or like flying immortals painted on a wall, their whole bodies moving horizontally in search of their future place of birth. Question: Are the modes of movement of intermediate existences all like this?
