深入所緣故者。謂性猛利深入所緣。如鍼墮泥。故名為見。

As for 'penetrating deeply into the cognitive object': it means its nature is keen and sharp, deeply penetrating the cognitive object like a needle sinking into mud; therefore it is called a view.
