8.13

若依佛名經。過去九十一劫有佛名毘婆尸如來。過去三十劫有佛出世名尸棄如來。即此劫中復有佛出世。名毘舍浮如來。問曰。此九十一劫為大為小。答曰。是大劫也。

If we rely on the Sutra of the Names of the Buddhas: Ninety-one kalpas ago, there was a Buddha named Vipaśyin Tathāgata. Thirty kalpas ago, there was a Buddha who appeared in the world named Śikhin Tathāgata. In this very same kalpa, another Buddha appeared in the world named Viśvabhū Tathāgata. Question: Are these ninety-one kalpas great or minor? Answer: They are mahākalpas.
