第一維衛佛。第二式棄佛。第三隨葉佛。此三佛同是剎利王種。第四拘樓秦佛。第五拘那含牟尼佛。第六迦葉佛。此三佛同是婆羅門種。第七今我作釋迦文佛。是剎利王種。

The first, Vipaśyin Buddha; the second, Śikhin Buddha; and the third, Viśvabhū Buddha: these three buddhas were all of the kṣatriya royal caste. The fourth, Krakucchanda Buddha; the fifth, Kanakamuni Buddha; and the sixth, Kāśyapa Buddha: these three buddhas were all of the brāhmaṇa caste. The seventh, I myself today who have become Śākyamuni Buddha, am of the kṣatriya royal caste.
