世多愚惑人　守慳不布施
積財千萬億　稱言是我有
臨欲壽終時　眼見惡鬼神
刀風解其體　無復出入息
貪識隨善惡　受報甚苦辛
將至受罪處　變悔無所及

"The world has many foolish, deluded people / Who guard their stinginess and do not practice giving. / Hoarding wealth of thousands of millions, / They claim: 'This is mine.' / When about to end their life-span, / Their eyes behold evil ghosts and spirits; / The knife-winds dismantle their bodies, / And there is no longer outgoing or incoming breath. / The craving consciousness follows good and evil, / Receiving retribution that is exceedingly bitter and harsh. / Brought to the place of punishment, / They regret and repent when it is too late."
