81.11

又居士請僧福田經云。別請五百羅漢。不如僧次一凡夫僧。吾法中無受別請法。若有別請僧者。非吾弟子。是六師法。七佛所不可。故知施有三種。故不可以一概論也。

Furthermore, the Sūtra on a Householder Inviting the Saṃgha as a Field of Merit states: "Individually inviting five hundred arhats is not as good as taking one ordinary monk in the regular order of the Saṃgha. In my Dharma, there is no teaching of accepting individual invitations. If anyone individually invites a monk, he is not my disciple; this is the dharma of the six non-Buddhist teachers, disapproved of by the seven Buddhas." Therefore, we know there are three kinds of giving, and thus they cannot be discussed uniformly.
