85.23

又華嚴經云。佛子。一切諸佛有十種未曾失時。何等為十。一切諸佛成等正覺未曾失時。一切諸佛善根業報未曾失時。一切諸佛授菩薩記未曾失時。一切諸佛隨應眾生示現神力未曾失時。一切諸佛現如來身未曾失時。一切諸佛悉行於捨未曾失時。一切諸佛入城聚落未曾失時。一切諸佛攝歡喜眾生未曾失時。一切諸佛難化眾生而不放捨之。為調伏故未曾失時。一切諸佛示現不可思議自在神力未曾失時。佛子。是為一切諸佛十種未曾失時。

Furthermore, the Avataṃsaka-sūtra states: Sons of the Buddha, all buddhas have ten kinds of never missing the proper time. What are the ten? All buddhas never miss the proper time in attaining equal and perfect enlightenment. All buddhas never miss the proper time in [the fruition of] the karmic retribution of roots of goodness. All buddhas never miss the proper time in bestowing prophecies upon bodhisattvas. All buddhas never miss the proper time in manifesting spiritual powers in response to sentient beings. All buddhas never miss the proper time in manifesting the body of a Tathāgata. All buddhas never miss the proper time in practicing equanimity in all things. All buddhas never miss the proper time in entering cities and settlements. All buddhas never miss the proper time in gathering in joyful sentient beings. All buddhas never miss the proper time in not abandoning sentient beings difficult to transform, in order to tame them. All buddhas never miss the proper time in manifesting inconceivable, sovereign spiritual powers. Sons of the Buddha, these are the ten kinds of never missing the proper time of all buddhas.
