86.23

善男子。此陀羅尼若有讀誦受持如法修行。九十七日。誦四十九遍。乃一懺悔。隨師應行。是諸惡業若不除滅。終無是處。若於夢中見如上事。當知彼尼住清淨地具清淨戒。若有沙彌沙彌尼優婆塞優婆夷毀諸禁戒者。亦應請一比丘了知內外律者。向形像前。若尊經般若前。自陳其過。向此比丘說。此比丘應教淨律之法所說。

"Good man, if anyone reads, recites, accepts, upholds, and practices this dhāraṇī in accordance with the Dharma for ninety-seven days, reciting it forty-nine times before making one repentance, proceeding as instructed by the teacher, if these evil karmas are not eliminated, that is utterly impossible. If she sees the matters mentioned above in a dream, one should know that this nun abides in the ground of purity and possesses the pure precepts. If there is a śrāmaṇera, śrāmaṇerikā, upāsaka, or upāsikā who has broken the prohibitive precepts, they too should invite a bhikṣu who understands the internal and external Vinaya, and before the image [of the Buddha] or before the revered sūtra of prajñā, declare their own faults and speak to this bhikṣu. This bhikṣu should instruct them according to the rules of the pure Vinaya.
