八者守護正法不念外道邪師破壞佛法。誓欲光顯令久住也。是為守護翻破滅一切善事心也。

Eighth is guarding the True Dharma, paying no heed to non-Buddhists and false teachers who destroy the Buddha-Dharma, and vowing to magnify and make it shine so that it endures long. This is guarding and protecting, overturning and breaking through the mind that destroys all good works.
